ROBERT TAYLOR Obituary

Robert Scott Taylor, 58, of Mount Vernon passed away September 23, 2013 due to complications from early-onset Alzheimers.

He was born December 18, 1954 to Bill and Lorna Taylor.

He grew up in Lake Stevens learning the auto mechanics trade at the family service station.

Bob, as he was known to his family and friends, had a fantastic sense of humor and those who knew him truly adored him.

He married his wife Debbie in 1977 and they began their life together in Lake Stevens where they would have two children Tyson and Aaron. They decided Lake Stevens was getting just a bit too big for them, so in 1990 they built their custom home near Lake Goodwin.

Bob enjoyed country living where he could ride horses and enjoy the resident wildlife.

As Bob became ill, he and Debbie retired in 2008 and relocated to 20 acres in Elk, WA where he was again surrounded by wildlife. He loved to feed the deer and turkeys that roamed the property. In 2011 he and Debbie would relocate once more, this time to Mount Vernon where they could be closer to family.

Bob was a man with many interests and accomplishments. He loved flying, hunting, fishing, hanging out by the campfire, and just generally spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his wife Debbie; sons Tyson (Ramona) and Aaron (Sara); grandchildren Aubby, William, Parker, and Caleb; brothers Gordon (Marcia), Steve (Pat), Jeff (Amy); and sister Vickie (Rick) DeGroot and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A private family Graveside Service was held September 27, 2013 at the Beaver Creek Cemetery in Twisp, WA. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church 2111 117th Ave NE, Lake Stevens.
