Goodbye my dear friend. I've thought about you many times over the years. Now I can kick myself in the butt for not making the trip to Washington to visit you and Georgann. May you rest in peace my friend. We were brothers in arms. We will meet again on the other side.

I met Russ at Newhalem softball; who IS this pitcher?! I wanted to meet this character and I'm fortunate I got to visit with both Russ and Georgann at the "swimmin' hole". Years later I learned that he was going back to college and I loved how proud he was about it. Recently bumping into this lovely pair at Overlook Golf was a fun surprise and quite a gift to me. I really liked and respected Russ. He will be missed.

I would follow him down any ski run. The master on the slopes.
My kids and I still say "little baby feets" in the one and only Rusty voice. So many wonderful memories of this one of a kind man amongst men!!!!!

With time the grief will be easier to walk with, it takes time to heal what reason cannot. May the memory of his loving heart replace the sense of loss and vacancy you feel in yours. Peace be with you.
