Clear Lake - With heavy hearts, our family announces that William Leroy Boston has gone home to the heavens with the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Bill passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the age of 79 at his home in Clear Lake, where he had lived for over 40 years with his beloved wife of 43 years, Loretta Boston.
Bill was born on May 9, 1945 in Seattle Washington, the son of Charles and Phyllis Boston. He grew up in Clear Lake where he spent many hours fishing on the lake and being a boy scout. After graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School in1964, Bill was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam war in San Francisco.
Upon his return to Skagit County, Bill became a sawmill worker in Sedro-Woolley. He soon met and married his first wife Loraine Boston. Together they had four children. Bill spent over 45 years working as a sawyer until he retired in 2010.
In 1983, Bill and Loretta moved back to Clear Lake. One of his greatest joys was being able to raise his now five children in the town he grew up in.
Bill was a devout Christian. He loved reading the Bible every day and spent many joyful hours discussing his faith with others. In 2021, he found a fellowship that spoke truth to his faith.
Bill was a devoted husband to Loretta Boston, a loving father to his children, and a cherished member of the community. He was an avid sports fan, passionate about fishing, Seattle Sounders, and his beloved Mariners. Bill's time with his family was often spent camping at 8 mile creek, fishing on Lake Roosevelt, and traveling abroad. Wherever he went, and whoever he was with, his work ethic, faith, humor, and kindness, spread to those he touched. That touch will always be with those who deeply miss him... and for Bill, the best is yet to come.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Boston; children, William Boston, Jeffrey (Sara) Boston, Caleb (Brandy) Boston, Trisha (Chris) Curtis and Leah (Lucas) Simpson; twelve precious grandchildren, Steven, Kaitlin, Amber, Hannah, Ashlee, Billy, Eved, Jenni, Michael, Ariel, Ashlynn and Ethan; six great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Sharon) Boston; sister, Betty Windish; brother, Don (Gail) Boston.
