Elizabeth Anderson Obituary

Born and raised in the Potrero District of San Francisco, Bette passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion that touched generations.

A proud graduate of St. Paul High School, Bette was a cherished member of the "Magnificent 7" - a lifelong circle of friends bonded since kindergarten, whose enduring sisterhood brought her joy, support, and laughter throughout her life.

Bette dedicated 28 years to the National Federation of Independent Business. Bette continued to work until her late 70s, a reflection of her strong work ethic, sense of purpose, and passion for staying active and connected.

A breast cancer survivor, Bette met life's challenges with grace, strength, and quiet determination. She was also fortunate to fulfill her love of adventure, traveling to over 24 countries throughout her life - and she loved every minute of it.

Bette was preceded in death by her beloved son Gregory Campillo, her parents Daniel and Maria Corona, her siblings Ida Manion, Al Corona, and Martha Rief, her first husband Arthur Campillo, with whom she remained dear friends and lovingly cared for in his final days, and her second husband Jack Anderson, whose family she welcomed as her own. She also mourned the loss of stepdaughter Terri Shaw, whom she held close to her heart.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Carla Campillo, and her grandchildren Christiana Cassio (Chris), Ryan Campillo, Rachelle Sheehan (Josh), Scott Marretti (Tarren), Colton Anderson (Hannah), Olivia Hein (Glen), and their families. Bette was immensely proud to be a great-grandmother to eight wonderful great-grandchildren, each of whom brought light and love into her life.

She is also remembered fondly by her former daughter-in-law Nancy Eldridge (John), and by her dear friend Brian Lewis, whose friendship and support meant so much to her over the years, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Bette lived a full and meaningful life - marked by deep relationships, an adventurous spirit, and an unshakable love for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know and love her.

A memorial service will take place on October 9 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Sneider & Sullivan O'Connell's Funeral Home located at 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA.
