Alice Brem

1929 - 2015

Alice Brem, 85, of 111 Taylor St., Kersey, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 27, 1929 in Toby, daughter of the late Innocente (Ernest) and Louise Cesa Comiotti.
On Nov. 11, 1950, in the Guardian Angels Church in Coal Hollow, she married Maurice M. Brem, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1983.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1947. She was an employee of Automatic Turning and Machining until her illness in 2011.
Mrs. Brem was a member of the St. Boniface Church and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed going on day trips with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Brem of Kersey and Sandy Kreckel and her husband Don of St. Marys; two sons, Joseph Brem and his wife Sharon of Kersey and Mark Brem and his wife Karen of Kersey; five grandchildren, David Surra, Scott Surra, Amy Brem, Ashley Brem and Joe Kreckel; three great-grandchildren, Dilen Surra, Roman Surra and Tanner Harmon; and five sisters, Verna Himes of DuBois, Emma Copella of Kersey, Louise Huff and her husband Gerald of Kersey, Erma Krononwetter of St. Marys and Joanne Hyatt and her husband Robert of Kersey.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Dinsmore and Marie Mattivi.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ross Miceli, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
