Andrew Mecca Obituary

Andrew C. Mecca, 31, of 320 Elk Ave., Johnsonburg, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 5, 2018 ending his long battle with addiction.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1986 in Ridgway, son of Lynell Mecca Rusciolelli and Edward DeCecchis. He resided in Johnsonburg all his life.
Andrew graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School, class of 2005
He was a member of the Johnsonburg First Baptist Church. He loved his family and was an avid gamer, comic book and movie fan, and especially loved Batman. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Lynell Mecca Rusciolelli and step-father Robert Rusciolelli of Johnsonburg; his father, Edward DeCecchis and his companion Christy Berryhill of Johnsonburg; eight siblings: Brei Huber of St. Marys; Trey DeCecchis of St. Marys; Paige DeCecchis of Monroeville; Matt Schuler of Johnsonburg; Matthew Rusciolelli and his wife, Ally, of Wightman Air Force Base in Missouri; Nicholas Rusciolelli of Pittsburgh; and Michael and Timothy Rusciolelli both of St. Marys; fraternal step-grandmother, Nancy Osmer of Johnsonburg; step-grandmother, Daria Clark of Ridgway; nieces and nephews, Tilian DeCecchis, Oberon Rusciolelli and Bryson Luchs; aunts and uncles: Timothy Mecca and his wife, Amy, of St. Marys; Randy Mecca and his wife, Marion, of Eagleville, Missouri; Ellen, Mrs. Robert Johnson of Johnsonburg; Wendy Mecca of Johnsonburg; Leigh, Mrs. Tom Blessel of St. Marys; John Rusciolelli and his wife, Kellie, of Johnsonburg; Kim Rusciolelli of Johnsonburg; Bob DeCecchis and his wife, Michelle, of Johnsonburg; Rick DeCecchis and his wife Tracy of Johnsonburg; Terri, Mrs. Mark Sapp of Rosamond, California; and Rodney DeCecchis of Rosamond, California; Linda, Mrs. Jim Kennedy of Johnsonburg; Carla Geer of Johnsonburg; Lisa Adamski of Fords, New Jersey; Brenda, Mrs. Ray Nowakoski of Avanel, New Jersey; and John Peters of Ridgway.
He is predeceased by his birth father Joe Adamski, fraternal grandmother Jane Bobowski, and maternal grandparents Gerald and Iva Nell "Toot" Mecca.
Funeral services for Andrew C. Mecca will be private and will be conducted at Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home in Johnsonburg. Officiating will be lay pastor, Robert Johnson.
Interment will be private in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg.
