JOHNSONBURG - Andrew C. Mecca, 31, of 320 Elk Ave., Johnsonburg, died unexpectedly on Thursday (July 5, 2018), ending his long battle with addiction.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1986, in Ridgway, a son of Lynell (Mecca) Rusciolelli and Edward DeCecchis.
Survived by his parents, mother Lynell Rusciolelli and step-father Robert Rusciolelli of Johnsonburg and his father Edward DeCecchis and his companion Christy Berryhill of Johnsonburg; brothers and sisters, Brei Huber of St. Marys, Trey DeCecchis of St. Marys, Paige DeCecchis of Monroeville, Matt Schuler of Johnsonburg, Matthew (Ally) Rusciolelli of Wightman AFB, Mo., Nicholas Rusciolelli of Pittsburgh and Michael and Timothy Rusciolelli, both of St. Marys; fraternal step-grandmother, Nancy Osmer of Johnsonburg; step-grandmother, Daria Clark of Ridgway; nieces and nephews, Tilian DeCecchis, Oberon Rusciolelli and Bryson Luchs; aunts and uncles, Timothy (Amy) Mecca of St. Marys, Randy (Marion) Mecca of Eagleville, Mo., Ellen (Robert) Johnson of Johnsonburg, Wendy Mecca of Johnsonburg, Leigh (Tom) Blessel of St. Marys, John (Kellie) Rusciolelli of Johnsonburg, Kim Rusciolelli of Johnsonburg, Bob (Michelle) DeCecchis of Johnsonburg, Rick (Tracy) DeCecchis of Johnsonburg, Terri (Mark) Sapp of Rosamond, Calif., and Rodney DeCecchis of Rosamond, Linda (Jim) Kennedy of Johnsonburg, Carla Geer of Johnsonburg, Lisa Adamski of Fords, N.J., Brenda, Mrs. Ray Nowakoski of Avanel, N.J. and John Peters of Ridgway.
He was predeceased by his birth father, Joe Adamski; fraternal grandmother, Jane Bobowski; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Iva Nell "Toot" Mecca.
Funeral services for Andrew C. Mecca will be private and will be conducted at Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home, Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Lay Pastor Robert Johnson. Interment will be private in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St. Johnsonburg.

I'll never forget you. None of us will, you were one in any billion there could be. You gave me so many memories. You always loved the quote "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". I'll try, we all will. I'll carry you with me, always.

So sad, I knew Andy threw my son Billy, very quiet but always polite, so sorry to his entire family for this horrible loss
