Dolores C. "Dee" Euken

1937 - 2024

Dolores C. "Dee" Euken, 86, of 522 First Avenue, Johnsonburg, and formerly of Elk Avenue, Johnsonburg, passed away early Thursday morning, January 18, 2024, at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys following an illness of the last several months. She was born in Johnsonburg on September 11, 1937, a daughter to the late James and Rose Judice Cherry. On May 3, 1958, she married Stanley J. Euken. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2006.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Dee was a 1956 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved to read, do crossword puzzles, crochet and later in life make trips to the casino.
In 1999, Dee retired from GTE-Sylvania in St. Marys after 35 years of service.
Dee is survived by her son Anthony "Tony" Euken of Johnsonburg, a son-in-law, Richard "Butch" Barber of Johnsonburg, six grandchildren; Jeffrey, Tarra, Whitney and Thane Barber and Corey and Kendall Euken, two great-grandchildren; Lexi Rose Eck and Kye Andrew Eck.
She is also survived by her siblings; John "Skip" Cherry (Doreen) of Ridgway, Anna Nuss (James) of King of Prussia, Florence "Tiny" Ginther (Wayne) of St. Marys, Patricia "Patty" Silverman of Cicero, NY, Michael Cherry (Yvonne) of St. Marys, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a longtime dear friend Noel Feronti.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dee is predeceased by her daughter Angela Barber.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores C. "Dee" Euken, will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, on Friday January 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
