Donald Bolden Obituary

Donald P. Bolden, Jr., 60, of 134 Maurus Street, St. Marys, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
He was born July 25, 1960, in Cumberland, Maryland, son of the late Donald P. and Sara A. "Sally" Murphy Bolden, Sr. Donny was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Catholic High School, Class of 1978. He was a former employee of American Axle in St. Marys.
On September 26, 1986, in the Sacred Heart Church, Donny married Caroline M. Wendel, who survives. He is also survived by his sons, Justin Bolden and his wife Jessica of Kersey; Brandon Bolden and his wife Megan of St. Marys; and Jeremy Bolden of Cranberry Township; five grandchildren: Lucie, Jacob, Lucas, Adelynn, and Everly Bolden; his sisters: Stephanie Tobin and her husband William of Lincoln University, PA; Christine Auman and her husband Thomas of St. Marys; and Jessica Kunes and her husband Aaron of Weedville; and by his sister-in-law, Ann Bolden of St. Petersburg, Florida.
In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Bolden on July 8, 1981; and by his brother, Andrew "Tim" Bolden on July 25, 2011.
Donny was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved to cook and listen to music, and was an avid fisherman. Donny was a great story teller and could hold a great conversation. He loved putting a smile on others' faces, often times by teasing them and making them laugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 5 - 8 p.m.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the MoyaMoya Foundation Co., PO Box 1180, Enfield, CT 06083; the Center for Organ Recovery and Education, 204 Sigma Drive, RIDC Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15238; or to the St. Mary Servicemen's Burial Detail, 168 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.

May you find peace in the wonderful memories he has left behind. It was a pleasure working with him for years, always had a kind or funny conversation when I seen him. RIP.
