Doris Doyle Obituary

Doris S. Doyle, 87, a long-time resident of Ridgway, Pennsylvania, died on August 25, 2021 at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch Florida following a long illness.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1933, to parents, Andrew and Rose Sokol, who preceded her in death.
Doris married David M. Doyle on February 19, 1955 in Pittsburgh. They were married for 63 years until the time of Dave's passing on November 6, 2018.
Doris and her husband lived in Ridgway from 1968-2012. They moved to Statesville, North Carolina in 2012 to enjoy their "Golden Years" in a warmer climate.
Doris was an avid reader and loved the Ridgway Public Library. She also enjoyed playing Bridge, acting in the Footlighters of Elk County productions and golfing at the Elk County Country Club where she met many of her life-
long friends.
Doris is survived by her six children, Karen Hughes of Sarasota, Florida; Nancy Fedus (Gary) of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Kevin Doyle (Josefina) of Salinas, California; Holly Toth (David) of Sarasota, Florida; Gary Doyle (Tricia) of Wellsville, New York; Amy Conti (Nicholas) of Spring City, Pennsylvania; 11
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Leona Sokol, and her daughter-in-law, Leslie Heath Doyle.
The children will hold a private memorial service for their parents at a later date. Donations in memory of Doris may made to the Ridgway Public Library at 329 Center Street, Ridgway, Pennsylvania 15853.
