Frederick B "Rick" Reis Jr

1957 - 2021

Frederick B. "Rick" Reis, Jr., age 64, of Benezette, PA, died unexpectedly, October 23, 2021. A son of Frederick B. "Bert" Reis, Sr. of Medix Run and the late Janis Schmidt, he was born on October 10, 1957 in Berea, OH. In 1984 he married Candy A. (Bentert), who survives him in Benezette.
Along with his father, and his wife, Rick is survived by: three children, Ericka (Joe) Evans of Waynesburg, OH, Megan (Amanda Joseph) Reis of Kent, OH and Alexandra (Brodie) Ferut of Sykesville, PA; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, John Reis of Illinois and Robert Reis of Michigan; and a sister, Karen (Jimmi) Argyle of Florida.
Rick lived the past fifteen years in Benezette. He worked twelve years with Matheson Tri-Gas, retiring in 2018; and along with his wife, he owned and operated the Big Elk Lick Horse Camp of Benezette since 2011.
There will be no visitation.
Rick was a very private person and in keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
