Jeanette Malburg Obituary

On Friday, April 4, 2025, the heavens welcomed Jeanette E. Mosier Malburg. She passed away at Allegheny General Hospital following a long illness surrounded by her family.
She was born to the late William and Joanne (McAllister) Mosier on November 3, 1955.

On January 14, 1984, she married the love of her life and best friend Harry Malburg at St. Boniface Church. They shared 41 years of marriage.

Jeanette attended St. Boniface and graduated Elk County Catholic High School Class of 1973. She later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and Clearfield County LPN program. She worked for United Cerebral Palsy in Clearfield, Penn Highlands Elk, Elk Haven, and the Community Nurses.

Jeanette enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crafts and motorcycle riding. She always looked forward to the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren. She was musically talented and enjoyed singing at weddings. She grew up singing on the St. Boniface choir and became the choir director.

Jeanette took great pride in her involvement in the production of local school musicals and Footlighters, including notable performances such as "The Sound of Music" and "Flower Drum Song." A proud member of the Band Parents Association, she tirelessly supported the arts and the development of young performers, instilling a love for music in countless children.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ryan (Kristina) Malburg of Panama City, FL, and Nicholas (Sarah) Malburg of Pittsburgh, PA, by her two beloved granddaughters, Loralei Malburg, and Cecelia Zook, a step granddaughter, Taylor Zook, and a son-in-law, David Zook. She is also survived by six siblings: Kirk (Barb) Mosier of Morris, PA, Sam (Kathy) Mosier of Curwensville, PA, Sally (Kevin) Zani of Kersey, PA, Nancy (Tom) Metz of Ringgold, GA, Tim Mosier of Dagus Mines, PA, and Craig (Michele) Mosier of South Riding, VA, a brother-in-law, Jon Malburg of Clearwater, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

She is now reunited with her beloved daughter, Emily Zook, who passed away on July 9, 2021.

Her love, singing, kindness, and laughter will always be remembered and cherished by those she loved.
