Josephine Eyles Obituary

Josephine C. Eyles, 79, of 624 Second Avenue, Johnsonburg, and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2025, at Penn Highlands-Dubois following a brief illness. She was born May 16, 1945, in Pittsburgh, a daughter to the late Joseph and Theresa Couch Bovard. In September of 1984, she married LeRoy E. Eyles and he survives. She had previously been married to Patrick McDonough.
Josephine has lived in Johnsonburg for the past ten years and had previously lived in Pittsburgh. She attended High School at Sacred Heart High School in Shadyside and had received an Associates Degree in Nutrition.
While living in Pittsburgh, she worked as a dietitian at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital.
A devout catholic by faith, Josephine was a member of St. Bernadette Parish in Monroeville, PA and had attended the local Catholic Churches in St. Marys over the past several years.
Josephine is survived by her husband LeRoy at home and a son Joseph P. McDonough (Marta) of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, twin sisters, Ciara and Teresa Rondone and step-great-grandchildren Robert and Nicole.
Funeral services and interment for Josephine C. Eyles will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, PA.
