Phyllis Ann Owens

1948 - 2022

Phyllis Ann (Winslow) Shrubb Owens, age 73, of Steelton, PA, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at UPMC Community Hospital of Harrisburg. 
A daughter of the late William K and Elizabeth J. (Newell) Winslow, she was born on March 19, 1948 in DuBois.
Besides her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by: her husband Harold Bruce Owens (2014); two sisters, Donna Woodring and Garnett Taylor; and three brothers, Walter, Bruce and James Winslow.
Phyllis is survived by: two children, Chris Shrubb of Royersford and Mark Shrubb of Lancaster; two step-children, Mark Owens of Ocala, Florida and Stephanie Gigous of York Springs; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Winslow of Benezette and William Winslow of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and three sisters, Kathy Agosti of Hickory, Rena (Andy) Chileski of Byrnedale and Janice Wright of Weedville.
Phyllis graduated from Bennetts Valley High School and retired from Morehouse Publishing after 25 years as a Sales/Service Representative. She enjoyed being a part of her family's lives; loved her cat, Meadow; played Words with friends; and was a Candy Crush master.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon and again from 2-4 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Funeral Services will be held, 4 p.m., at the Funeral Home with Pastor Missy Smith.
Interment will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Winslow Hill, Benezette, PA.
