Scott Gardner Obituary

Scott R. "Pugsly" Gardner, 62, of Ridgway, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

He was born on January 3, 1963, in Ridgway, the son of the late Harry and Violet Wolford Gardner.

On November 2, 1984, he married Lisa Tate, who survives.

Pugsly was known for his unwavering work ethic and spent an impressive 42 years working at Keystone, where he earned deep respect from his colleagues and friends. He was a proud member of the Ridgway community, having graduated from Ridgway High School in the class of 1981. He was actively involved throughout his life, serving as a member of the Ridgway Elks and attending First Lutheran Church.

Pugsly was an avid hunter and a passionate outdoorsman, cherishing every moment spent camping and exploring the great outdoors. His greatest pride came from his children and grandchildren, who were the lights of his life. He loved them deeply and dedicated much of his time to creating unforgettable memories with them. His warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by 3 daughters: Ashley Gardner of Ridgway, Heather Adams and her husband Matthew of Pittsburgh, and Clarissa Herzing and her husband Jason of Ridgway, and 3 grandchildren: Jackson Adams, Logan and Camden Herzing. He is also survived by 4 sisters: Kim Kleban of Mt. Top, PA, Roxy Matts of Punxsutawney, Cindy Frye of Beaver, PA, and Kelly Hughes and her husband Todd of South Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers-in-laws: William Kleban, Frank Matts, and Kevin Frye.
