Marie O. Fithian, 87, of Clinton, MD, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024 at Southern MD Hospital, surrounded by family. Marie was born on November 6, 1936 in Inning Ammersee, Germany. She was the daughter to Max and Maria (Gabler) Falkner. Marie was one of ten siblings. Marie was a devoted wife to Geroge R. Fithian over 53 years. Marie had five children: Linda, Eugene (Pam, preceded in death), Richard (Lisa), Erika (William), Erick (preceded in death) and God Child, Ursula. She was very proud of her children's accomplishments. Marie had several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Omi, Sister, Aunt, and friend. Marie lived in New Jersey, Washington, DC, Suitland, MD and Clinton, MD.

Marie was a housewife and daycare provided for many years. She cared for many children and loved each one individually as her own. She always put the children first.

Marie surrounded herself with family and friends. Always providing love and support. She had a beautiful smile that would light up the room. She loved to cook and plan holiday parties at her home. Everyone loved her potato salad and rum cake. Her home was open to all. She enjoyed going to yard sales, knitting, gardening and eating crabs. She loved to sit on her deck; viewing the beautiful garden and watching the birds.

Her memories will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, watching over her family and friends from above.
