Jim McCambridge Obituary

Jim McCambridge
June 21, 1944 - May 8, 2023
Jim was born on June 21st, 1944 in San Francisco, California into a large Irish family which included the McNeill's of Co. Antram, Ireland and the Murphy's whose children he helped raise.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Sandy McCambridge, his son Sean, and his beloved friends and extended family.
After high school, he joined the army and was trained in chemical warfare in Fort Ord and Camp Roberts. He then became a co-owner of family owned markets in San Francisco. He loved to travel around the world on cruises with his wife and to visit different states in their family RV. He was an avid walker, schnauzer lover, and had a friend on every corner. Above all, he was a wonderful family man and friend, who will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to FISH (Friends in Sonoma Helping) or Pets Lifeline.

Our profound sympathy to you, Sandy. Jim was such an extraordinary human being, and he will be missed by so many. We like to think we were a couple of friends who happened to occupy one of those street corners in Sonoma. Our hearts ache over his loss

My condolences to Sandy and friends and family. I will miss his quick wit and concern for others while he battled his own health problems... He'll be forever in our hearts.
