Louise Repetto Obituary
Louise Emilia Repetto
December 26, 1935 - May 26, 2025
On May 26, 2025, Louise Repetto passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. A second-generation San Franciscan, Louise was born to Elena and Joseph Canevari on December 26, 1935.
Louise married the love of her life, Pete Repetto, and together they built a home in the Mission District, where they raised their three sons: Steve, Mark, and Michael. A devoted wife and mother, she stepped away from her professional career as a legal secretary to focus on raising her family, later returning to work in support of her church and school community.
Her Catholic faith was central to her life, and she remained actively involved in church service and charity work for many years. Known for her warmth, generosity, and Italian cooking, Louise created a home where family and friends were always welcome. She especially enjoyed gardening, growing roses and vegetables, and gathering her family around the table.
In retirement, she left the city and settled on a rural property in Sonoma, where she enjoyed the quiet, open space and slower pace of life. She spent her days gardening, walking with friends, and sharing long lunches with those she loved. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting a local winery, where she was serenaded and treated like royalty.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Pete. She is survived by her sons Steven, Mark (Deanne), and Michael (Michele Badker), and her grandchildren PJ, Anna Marie (Mark and Deanne), Ryan (Michael Repetto), and great-grandmother to Brayden Wright (Ryan). Affectionately known as Nonni, she was a beloved matriarch not only to her own family but to many others who adopted her as their own.
Quick-witted, kind-hearted, and fiercely devoted, Louise will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
