Nancy Fagley Obituary

Nancy June Alexander Fagley
Nancy June Alexander Fagley passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the age of 88.
Born in Colorado City, Texas, she was the second of four children born to Fannie Mae and Jesse Alexander. A graduate of Lamar High School in Houston Texas, Nancy married William Robert Fagley of Houston, TX in 1952. They had two children, Mark Robert and Anne Claire. They moved a number of times for Bob's career, finally settling in California in 1969, where Nancy remained the rest of her life.
A dedicated wife and mother, Nancy pursued a career later in her life, working in administrative roles in the wine industry, and most important to her, for the California Department of Justice in San Francisco. She retired from the DOJ in 1997. After living in Marin County for many years, and Sacramento near her son Mark, she moved to Sonoma to be near Claire and family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her brother J. Lee Alexander. She is survived by son Mark Fagley (Bonnie) of Sacramento, daughter Claire Ginesi (Larry) of Sonoma, sisters Carolyn Caldwell of Houston, TX, Frances Thomasson of Nacodoches, TX, grandchildren, Michael Fagley (Adriana), Scott Fagley, Anthony Ginesi (Tricia), and Christopher Ginesi (Lauren), and great-grandchildren Dean Fagley, Mae Fagley, Mia Ginesi, and Gemma Ginesi. She also leaves behind four loving nieces and nephews and their children, as well as many friends and her church family at Trinity Episcopal in Sonoma.
A private family service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Pets Lifeline, Sonoma.
