Patsy Alvarez Obituary

Patsy Alvarez
January 12, 1928 - April 5, 2023
Patsy Jean Alvarez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2023, at the age of 95 in Sonoma, California. Patsy was born on January 12th, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Zeitha Slade.
As a teenager, Patsy and her mother moved to San Mateo, California, where she attended San Mateo High School and worked as an usherette at a local movie theater. It was there that she met her future husband Daniel Alvarez, whom she married in 1945. They were married for 64 years until Daniel's passing in 2010.
Patsy had a successful career in the electronics industry, working for 25 years, most notably at Hewlett-Packard. But she loved her life as a homemaker, where she could be creative and enjoy her hobbies. Patsy was an avid painter and gardener, and loved spending time outdoors making camping and water skiing the family vacations. She had a special place in her heart for her pugs and loved all animals.
Patsy was a devoted mother to her four children, Danielle, Paul, Dana, Danny and devoted mother in law to Eddie Loeffler and Jennifer Alvarez. Sadly, she was predeceased by her daughter Danielle Alvarez Loeffler. Patsy had 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A camping trip in the Sierras will be attended by her family to celebrate Patsy's life and honor her love for family and the outdoors.
