Tad Hale
August 13, 2024
Steve, Lisa, Kevin, Chris, Nancy, Shelly and Ted, I was sad to learn of your father´s passing. He was an extraordinary man who lived out an exceptional life. He told me several times that, as a boy growing up in Hardy, he could have never imagined in his wildest dreams how his life turned out. It turned out to be quite an adventure for both your father and mother. I know that the best part of their adventure was growing their family. It was clear that your father cherished the time he spent with you and your families.
I had the good fortune to visit with your dad over the years (Columbus, Marco Island and most recently in Pittsburgh). He always initiated. He was so engaging, curious and encouraging. It was a joy to talk with him. Whenever he was in town, I would happily drop everything in order to visit with him.
Nancy said that "It feel like it´s the end of an era" and it is. He was the patriarch of you clan and will be sorely missed. I am praying for your comfort.

Aw shucks, Shelly. I am sorry for the loss you and the entire Hale Clan are feeling. I always enjoyed spending time with your parents when they would visit you in Chicago. Take care.
