Dyke and Lisa, How profound is my sorrow for you at the loss of Andrew. Since you know I experience this horrific loss when my son Zachary died two years ago, I hope my journey can at some time be of help to you. May God's angles wrap their arms around your family and give you peace.

I grew up with Andy in elementary school. He was kind, silly, and creative. Most of my memories of him involve laughter and soccer, we laughed together a lot and played soccer almost everyday. I remember one time I was kicked down by a kid on the other team, and Andy ran over to help me up. He then proceeded to get me an ice pack from the office and sit on the sidelines with me until the bell rang. I think we were in 4th grade. That was his heart: compassion and kindness. While it's been many, many years since Andy and I have crossed, I have thought of him and won't forget the friend he was to me as a child. People like him are hard to forget.
I have several photos with him, and I will send them once I make copies. My heart breaks for your family. Sending so much love your way during this unimaginable time.
