I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We worked together from 1964-71 for Famous Soo Locks Cruises. They were some of the best years of my life. "Daddy Jack," as I affectionately called him, was a wonderful, warm, fun person. His pralines, doughnuts, and grilled cheese tuna sandwiches are still some of the best things I ever ate. I'm so glad I got up to the Soo a few years ago and got to talk old times with him. Rest In Peace my friend.

My wife and I would like to pass along our condolences to the family of Captain Jack. He married us on August 30, 2003 on LeVoyageur as we were being raised in the Locks. In just the couple of times we met with him, he was so kind and very nice. My dad was a merchant marine, so the 2 of them talked almost the entire time after the ceremony. " 3 longs & 2 Shorts" for you Capt. Jack

So sorry to read of Jack's passing. I have a lot of good memories of when I worked for Jack at the Soo Locks Boat Tours snack bar, The Pullar snack bar and at The Sweet Shop.
