Blanche M. Dloughy

Dec. 19, 1921 - Dec. 6, 2015

SOUTH BEND - Blanche Marlene Dloughy, 93, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of South Bend, Indianapolis and Chicago, passed away on Sunday at 12:30 pm at Hospice of the East Valley in Tempe, AZ. She was born in Mishawaka to the late Sam and Edith (Hes) Sandor on December 19, 1921. On March 29, 1942, she was married to Clarence Dloughy, who preceded her in death on January 14, 1996, as did one of her brothers, Leonard Sandor, who passed on January 14, 1980. As a mom, grandma, bubbie and nana, family was at the core of her life and what kept her going for almost 94 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dan Robbins of Phoenix, AZ; her brother and sister-in-law, Beryl and Ronnie Sandor of Indio, CA; two grandsons: Todd Somsel and his wife, Meredith of New York City, and Scott Somsel of Jersey City, NJ; a granddaughter, Alison Williams and her husband, Ryan of Indianapolis, IN; three great-grandchildren: Connor Williams, Hailey Somsel and Caitlin Somsel. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Chapel at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, with Rabbi Michael Friedland of Sinai Synagogue officiating. No flowers, please.
