June 13, 1946 - March 23, 2018

OSCEOLA - Bobby Gene Edgin, 71, of Osceola, died Friday, March 23, 2018 while wintering in Cape Coral, FL. Bob was born in Enville, TN on June 13, 1946 to O.V. & Irene Edgin. He graduated from Central High School in South Bend with the Class of '64 and on June 15, 1974, he married Karen (Dahlin) Edgin in Mishawaka; Karen survives him after 44 years of marriage, along with two children, Tanya (Jeff) Cooper of Mishawaka and Cindy Korkhouse of South Bend; four grandchildren, Steven Stackman, Melissa Stackman, and Tabitha Stackman, all of Mishawaka, and Joshua (Emma) Korkhouse of Greensburg; his great-grandson, Sullivan Korkhouse; and his brother, Joe (Ruth) Edgin of Jackson, TN. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Todd Edgin. Bob worked as an area real estate agent for many years. He was devoted to his family & friends and could often be found at an area café for morning coffee with the local regulars. Bob was an active member of Granger Community Church, hosting small faith groups, volunteering, and attending seminars. He was a member of the Osceola Lions Club and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow award. Bob's family will receive friends at a memorial gathering from 1-4pm on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. The family's preferred memorial is the Osceola Lions Club, P.O. Box 21, Osceola, IN 46561.
