Carolyn Anderson Obituary

May 13, 1957 - July 15, 2010
SOUTH BEND - Ms. Carolyn Elaine Anderson, 53, beloved daughter and sister who resided on South Jackson Street in South Bend, passed away at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010 in South Bend following a brief illness. Carolyn was born to the union of Claude and Mildred (Seals) Anderson, Jr., in South Bend on May 13, 1957. She graduated from Washington High School and attended Ivy Tech College for two years. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of New Life Ministries. Carolyn loved shopping, cooking and taking her nieces and nephews sledding. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Anderson; a brother, Larry Anderson; and a sister, Betty Anderson. Survivors left to cherish her loving memory include, her father, Claude Anderson, Jr.; three sisters, Margaret Jean (Albert) Banks and Barbara Nell Anderson, both of South Bend and Lana Renee (Dana) Price of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Claude Anderson III, Donald Ray (Regina) Anderson, Bruce Edward Anderson and Michael Ray Anderson, all of South Bend; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and 67 nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services for Ms. Carolyn Elaine Anderson will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in Alford's Mortuary with burial following at Highland Cemetery. Viewing will take place in the chapel one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary, where messages of condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected] c/o: Anderson family.

I have known the ANDERSON FAMILY since i was a little kid, CAROLYN has been my life long friend, we spent a lot of good times together. i got real sick one year CAROLYN came to my house and stayed with me for over 2 weeks until i could take care of myself.words will never be enough to say how deeply i and others will miss her. she was not only my friend she is my sister. and i will never forget the good times we had. i will always love you CAROLYN.

I never met you but I know you have such a beautiful smile and I know your loved ones will always hold you close to their heart. I also have recently lost a loved one, my father passed 2 days after fathers day June 22, 2010.
