Clyde Lee Foster, Jr.

June 28, 1941 - May 24, 2016

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Clyde Lee Foster Jr., a resident of Wildemere Drive, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at the age of 74 on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

Clyde was born on June 28, 1941, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Clyde L. and Lillie (Willis) Foster. At the age of ten, he moved to South Bend, Indiana. He attended South Bend Central High School. For 25 years he was employed as a bus driver for Transpo.

In 1962, in South Bend, Clyde and Dorothy Mae Wills were united in marriage. She preceded him in death in November 2014. His hobbies included cooking and baking and especially spoiling grandchildren and talking to everybody. He was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Board.

Clyde has left to cherish his memory two sons, Clyde T. Foster and Nathan (Raquel) Foster, both of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Kendall Betts, Clyde Jacob Foster, Cece Foster, Lela Foster, Dallace Foster, Miles Foster and Rylce Betts; three sisters, Mildred (Robert) Parker, Mary Foster and Hertha B. (Benay Ray) Williams; and one brother, Bobby Foster, all of South Bend; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death along with his parents, Clyde L. and Lillie Foster, and his wife, Dorothy Mae, were two sisters, Ruthie Hawkins and Erma Jean Payne.

Services for Mr. Clyde Lee Foster Jr., will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
