Dorothy Behling Obituary

ELKHART - Mrs. Dorothy Ann Behling, 92, of Elkhart formerly of South Bend passed away at 5:32 pm Wednesday at Elkhart General Hospital. Dorothy was born on November 29, 1916 in Martinsburg, WV, to George Howard and Mary (Kendrick) Mossman. On June 17, 1939 she married Raymond Ernest Behling, Sr. who passed away on June 14, 1984. Mrs. Behling was retired from the former Ball Band/Uniroyal where she made Tennis Shoes. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a member of both the Womens Circle and the Sewing Circle. Dorothy was a 1935 Graduate of Washington-Clay High School now Clay High School. Survivors include her two sons: Raymond E. (Judy) Behling, Jr. of South Bend and Thomas C. (Sue) Behling of Elkhart; five grandchildren; six great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Maxine Miltenberger and Geraldine Evans and her brother Charles Mossman as well as her parents. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at the corner of Laurel and Auten Rds. In South Bend. Her ashes will be entombed later at Highland Cemetery.
