Gregorio Catano Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Gregorio H. "Greg" Catano Jr., 47, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Greg was born on November 21, 1961, in Evanston, IL, to Gregorio H. and Leandra (Uribe) Catano Sr. He was preceded in death by his mom, Leandra Catano and by his sister, Carolina Catano. He is survived by his three children, Gracstina Catano, Gregorio Catano III and Nieves G. Catano, all of Mishawaka; granddaughter, Alyssa of Mishawaka; his father, Gregorio H. Catano Sr. Of Plymouth, IN; three sisters, Mary A. Galovic of Sanford, FL, Angela (Hachi) Catano of South Bend and Norma Love of South Bend; two brothers, Gilbert Catano of Elkhart and Fradin (Bodine) Catano of Mishawaka. Visitation will be form noon to 1 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a funeral liturgy will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
