Larry Bybee Jr.

Sept. 18, 1955 - April 12, 2017

SOUTH BEND - Larry Bybee Jr., of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at The University of Chicago Hospital. As a heart transplant recipient, Larry believed in the importance of organ and tissue donation. His family was honored to donate back to Gift of Hope. Larry is survived by his fiancé, Louise Peters; son, Larry III (Danielle) Bybee; grandchildren, Miranda, Dylan, and Conner; sister, Mellody (Mike) Buzalski; brother-in-law, Bob Yeager Sr. and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Sr. and Jean; and sister, Verla-Jean Yeager. Larry was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle rider, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to travel and make everyone laugh. He was a construction contractor for most of his life. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22nd, 2017, at Madeline Bertrand Park, The Topenebee Shelter, 3038 Adams Rd., Niles, MI 49120 at 3pm with Pastor Michael Cheney officiating. A celebration of life will follow until 7pm. The $3 fee to enter the park will be waived if you mention Larry's Memorial. In lieu of flowers, we are asking family to bring a dish to pass.

A Biker's Prayer

May the sun rise in front of me; May the rain fall behind me; And the wind follow me; May the angels guard my travels for they know the road ahead of me; Keep me safe through swirling turns and rolling hills; Let the eagle guide me to the mountaintops; Let the moonlight guide me through the night; Lord, thank you for letting me be a biker.

Our greatest pleasure to have known and enjoyed so much laughter with Larry! Not always one to speak sparkly clean but one to speak! Had great fun correcting him to correct himself and we would laugh. The man with the golden heart Larry; he would give a stranger the shirt off his back if the stranger was in need. A very very hard working man and the court's jester. We will miss you our friend. Bob and Jo
