Leonard Rambow Obituary

Leonard Rambow Dec. 17, 1934 - Mar. 5, 2015 DOWAGIAC - Leonard "Lenny" E. Rambow, 80, of Dowagiac, formerly of Chicago, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at The Timbers in Dowagiac. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 212 N. Front Street in Dowagiac with Father Kevin Covert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Leonard online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Leonard was born December 17, 1934 in Chicago to Edward and Anna (Zalec) Rambow. Leonard married his beloved wife Margaret Wysocki on August 9, 1958 at St. Simon Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. He was a lifelong resident of Chicago and worked as a biochemist at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Leonard was a member of Dowagiac Moose Lodge 933. He enjoyed golf, bowling, watching Sunday football with the Chicago Bears and spending time with family. Leonard is survived by his loving wife Margaret; daughters, Karen Koier and Shari Rambow (David Swinney); daughter-in-law, Rachel Rambow; grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Stephen (Kaitlyn) Koier, Chris Koier, Pierce Rambow, Troy, Jordann Swinney and Danyel (Jeremy) Devine; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Charlie, Abigail and Peyton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, David and Daniel.
