Lori Lewis Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Lori Lee (Burden) Lewis, 45, of South Bend, IN passed away at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007, in Hospice House, South Bend. She was born on February 15, 1962 in South Bend, to Kenneth W. and Evelyn (Malley) Burden. Lori is survived by a daughter, Sherri E. McRae of Elkhart, IN; two sons, Jesse A. McRae, stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, AK and Nathaniel J. Lewis of South Bend; sister, Kathy Qulbain of South Bend; brother, Scott A. Burden of South Bend; her father, Kenneth W. Burden of South Bend; and her ex-husband, John Lewis of South Bend. Her mother, Evelyn preceded her in death on June 7, 2006. Lori was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a cashier for Kreamo Thrift Store and 12th Street Village Mart. Lori was a very spiritual person who was especially at peace in natural settings. She enjoyed shopping and gift giving. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007, in Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is handling the arrangements.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. You will be missed by many of us who cared about you. I will always be there when Sherri needs me like I have been since the 6th grade. Your children are in good hands. Rest in peace Lori Lewis.

May God be with the family and friends she leaves behind. I think God knew Nathanial needed an extra special gardian angel and she was the only one who could fill the job. My blessings and prayers go out to all. Big hug to John and Nathanial.

As a Childhood Friend, wonderful times we had together at Jackson Middle and Riley High. Your life was filled with beautiful accomplishments. I will miss you dearly. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

The brief time that I knew Lori, was a very pleasant experience.
I am sure that she is in her Father's arms now.
God bless her family and friends that were with her until the final hours of her life.
