SOUTH BEND - Marjorie Rose Hall, 91, residing in South Bend, passed away unexpectedly at 5:36 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital.

Marjorie was born March 20, 1925 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Joseph & Mildred (Coryell) Gulatta, and has remained a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Central High School and attended Apostolic Bible Institute of St. Paul, MN where she met her husband, S. Eugene Hall. They were married on June 16, 1946 in Mishawaka, IN, and enjoyed 43 years of marriage until his passing on December 5, 1989. She was also preceded by her sisters, Louise Garner in 2006, and Delores Lancaster in 2014, her brother, Victor Gulatta in 2016, as well as her son, Samuel Hall in 2013, her granddaughter, Andrea Bolenbaugh in 1989, her son-in-law, Jeff Schock in 2003 and her grandson, Allen Smith in 2009.

Marjorie is survived by her remaining eight children: Sandra J. (Bruce) Smith, Randall Hall, David Hall, Timothy Hall, and Cynthia Shock, all of South Bend; Suzanne (Mark) Bolenbaugh of Rochester Hills, MI; Denise (Rick) Rinehart of Granger, and Jonathan (Jennifer) Hall of Woodstock, GA. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a gentle, easy going, fun-loving sassy mother, grandmother and friend. She loved God and would be found in church every Sunday at the Ironwood United Pentecostal Church of South Bend until she got dementia and could no longer get there on her own.

Services celebrating the life of Marjorie Hall will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, with Rev. Kenneth Mendenhall officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
