Dec. 29, 1915 - March 30, 2007
SOUTH BEND - Marjorie Ella (Frame) Hubbard, 91, died March 30, 2007, in Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL. Marjorie was born in Bynumville, MO, moved to South Bend in 1918, and moved again to Bradenton, FL, in 1995. She graduated from South Bend Central High School in the January class of 1935. As a member of the First Christian Church, she was married on May 29, 1935, to Oliver Linus Hubbard, who preceded her in death. She received her five-year pin from Studebaker's and "retired" to raise her three children, Dennis Hubbard and Anita Hubbard Weaver of Bradenton, FL, and Pamela Hubbard of Brooksville, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Marjorie was an active member of South Bend's First Christian Church, Esther Circle, The Hearing and Speech Auxiliary and the Kappa Sigma Tau Sorority. Many will remember her award-winning cinnamon rolls. The Life Magazine edition of Frank Lloyd Wright's Mossberg Home in South Bend included her as the principal seamstress for the draperies and slipcovers for this Usonian masterpiece. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes. Covell Cremation and Funeral Center, Bradenton, FL, is serving the family.
