Michael Bethea Dec. 23, 1949 - Sept. 3, 2015 ELKHART - Michael Bethea passed on to his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2015. Michael was born in Chicago, IL, December 23, 1949. He graduated from Central High School in South Bend, IN, where he was captain of the Wrestling team. Michael lived with his domestic partner Shirley Taylor for 27 years. Michael worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Trinity Industries, Inc. for 14 years in Elkhart, IN. He retired in 2003. Michael enjoyed sports, politics and being in the company of his family. Michael is survived by his foster son, Emanuel Taylor, Elkhart, IN, brothers, Carl E. Beathea, Chicago, IL, and Kenneth Patterson, South Bend, IN, sister, Wynette Jackson, Lansing, MI, his loving aunt, Mildred Bradley, Chicago, IL, and a host of Nieces and nephews and numerous loving cousins and friends. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Eliza A. Beathea, Elgin, IL and sister, Debra A. Jackson, Jackson, MI. The Family wishes to thank everyone for their support and prayers. No memorial service will be held in his honor. Michael will be missed by all who knew him and loved his kind spirit.
