Peter Sumrall Obituary
Oct. 17, 1953 - Dec. 5, 2015
SOUTH BEND - Peter Andrew Sumrall, 62 years old, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Mr. Sumrall was born in Manila, Philippines on October 17, 1953 to missionary parents, Lester and Louise (Layman) Sumrall, whom both preceded in death.
Mr. Sumrall is survived by his four children; son David (Kate) Sumrall of Noblesville, IN, daughter Angela (Chris) Grabowski of South Bend, son Andrew (Allison) Sumrall of South Bend, and son Adam Sumrall of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, Haley, Hanna, Henlee, Tait, George, Louis, and Dylan, and an eighth to be born any day. Also surviving are his two older brothers, Rev. Frank (Karen) Sumrall of Bristol, TN and Rev. Stephen (Diane) Sumrall of South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Christian Center, 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Peter Andrew Sumrall may be donated to Feed the Hungry, 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, IN 46614. Online condolences may be offered to the Sumrall family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.

I Haven't Tuned In To WHRADIO on my shortwave radio for over 2 months now. That Explains Why I Didn't Know That Pete Sumrall Had Gone To Heaven. Rest With Our Lord Until We Meet To Part No More.

Im sorry to here about pete,we know he's with the Lord,i ask the Holy Spirit to comfort all of you,in 1978 I received Jesus and got delivered from alcohol and drugs through Lester Sumrall ministry,thanks for all you all have done, your brother in Christ Louis Wiggington:PS will continue to pray God bless

I am a partner and watched daily Peter was a gift from above as was Dr Sumrall. We will miss him. My prayers are with you during your time of loss. God bless you all and keep you. To All of the Sumrall Family: May God's peace be your peace now and in the days ahead.
I heard the news about Pete Sumrall leaving the earth early this morning.
A few hours later I went to the Post
Office and the first thing I saw was a letter with the name Pete Sumrall written in big blue letters.
Sadly I thought this is the last letter
he wrote to us before he left. It was dated December 3, 2015. He spoke of the vision God gave his father. God showed Dr. Lester Sumrall the lost tumbling into the abyss, condemned to spend eternity in torment, forever separated from God. "Dr. Lester Sumrall was driven by his passion for souls," Pete wrote.
May the baton of this passion be passed to the next Sumrall
who will be driven by the same passion that he possessed.
Presently we are praying for peace and strength for every member of the Sumrall family. May God's anointing rest mightily upon every Sumrall who will now be willing to pick up the baton and carry on doing his/her part fervently in Jesus Name.

Peter Sumrall was my boss when I was working for METV television in Limassol, Cyprus. Pete was an intelligent, creative and acute businessman.Still, Pete was a kind person full of grace and love, a dedicated person for the cause of the gospel.
I will remember him in my prayers. May God rest his soul.
