Philip Kress Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Philip Carl Kress of Fort Myers, Florida, and South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2009, at age 75 after a year-long battle with cancer. Phil was born and educated in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. In 1957 he married Lois Helen Erdman, who survives. He joined Household International in 1955, transferred to the United States, and retired in South Bend, Indiana, in 1985. For the next 10 years he was a consultant with CS Associates. He spent his final years traveling, playing golf and supporting his condominium communities by serving on their Board of Directors. Besides his wife Lois he is survived by his sister, Vivian Powers, nephew, John of Kitchener, nieces, Julie and Emily of Toronto, and the Erdman and Ehrlich families of Kitchener, Waterloo and Toronto. A memorial service will be held in Zion Lutheran Church, 7401 Winkler Road, Ft. Myers, on April 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.

PCK was unquestionably the best boss I have had in my 38 years in the workplace. Any success I have had in the banking/credit field is because of his training and teaching that I received at HFC. On top of that and most importantly he was a nice man and wonderful human being. My condolences to Lois.
