Dot was my first inspiration toward the profession of family therapy when I was a student of hers at IUSB. She was an inspired educator who gave me a great beginning in the field. Together Dot and Kay were a powerful team and helped many in the South Bend area. My sincere condolences to her surviving family. With hugs, Dee Lyon.

Although I have not been in touch with Dot for many years, she was a very significant mentor for me when I was a young therapist. She and Kay gave me my first opportunities to teach therapy in large workshops and she was always supportive, generous, and fun to work with. She also encouraged me to learn family therapy, which has been very important to me ever since. She was a very significant person in my life.
