Thinking of you with such fond memories, Judge! I sure do miss our lunches and conversations! I walked away from all of them feeling better and with a big smile on my face! Things are going well at the Miller's Vets Center, and I believe you would be proud fo the progress the men are making. All with thanks and love to you! Miss you! Steve

I am 85 now ... but back in the 1950s I was secretary for Bob when he was downtown ... then I remember when he moved over by 100 Center ... then I would´ve always see pictures in the South Bend Tribune, always honoring Bob. Later in life, I would see him at Morris Park, ... I always remember thinking I wonder if he remembers me from the Diamond and Millers days ...
Proud to have been your secretary, Nancy Mann Galbreath (Nancy Lane)

Condolences to the Miller Family. Judge Miller was a great friend of veterans. The Michiana Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America was honored to present him our Stephens Citizenship Award in 2000 and he was a faithful attendant at our events for many years. He is missed.

Dear Mindy & Family, So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We enjoyed the Judge's company for many years through Scottish Rite. He was a devoted Mason and friend. His compassion and generosity will always be respected and remembered in this community. He was one of the good guys, there is a special place waiting for him in heaven. Hugs and blessings!

I will truly miss my treasured friend. A dear friend who was always there for a trip to the farm, singing to songs on the player piano, visits for breakfast or lunch, rides on the golf cart, fishing, mushroom hunting, sitting on the swing, Notre Dame football, visits to the center, making me feel as part of your amazing family, but most importantly long chats. God gave me a forever friend on the day we met over lost football tickets. See you in Heaven, dear friend. Signed Your Polish Friend Krys

What an incredible human being Judge Miller was. His family has such wonderful memories of him and should be so proud of the man he was. On behalf of the staff at Morris Park Country Club, we would like to send our condolences to the entire Miller Family. We will always remember his order of ham & bean soup with diced onions and ketchup on top. We were lucky to know him.

Let's Say! He had a tendency to Over-Estimate people, then draw them up to that next level.
My Oldest Friend no matter How you count. We met at church, my first week in Indiana back in '69, and I have never escaped' the Laugh and Love and Care. Fifty Years of Great Memories! Smoked Pork, Canadian Walleye, chainsaws, tractors, Navy Stories and on and on. Culminating, rightly, with Judge including this 4-F boy in the Miller's Vets and Veterans Honors Programs.
OH!! Speaking of Roasted' --- yeah, the first five minutes of our wedding. Da' Judge SKINNED me! Unforgettable and Joyous and Wonderful!! {Most Fun Wedding EVER}
Yes, the feet and knees and hips, and shoulders failed him. But his heart held strong. Rightly, it was his Mind that stayed active to the end. The afternoon before he passed - I received an email with New Plans!!!! YEAH! THAT'S the man I knew! "Let's Prepare for THE NEXT Day."
Thanks for the Decades of Encouraging Friendship, my Dear, Beloved, Veteran, Friend.

Truly a GREAT Hero! I treasure the day I was blessed to tailgate with you and the class of 1942! I share that day with everyone I meet. I feel blessed to have been able to work with you to secure an opportunity to open the veteran homeless shelter! I am honored you called me Chief. I am humbled that I am able to call you, My Friend. Sir, I wish you fair winds and following seas.

I will miss my dear friend, Judge Miller!! We could not have had a better partner and collaborator in the fight to end veteran's homelessness. His tenacity and never quit attitude made him a force to be reckoned with! He did this all along with a sparkle in his eye and a keen sense of humor. I'll miss our lunches at the Morris CC, and thanks for introducing me to green smoothies! Because of you we have functionally zero unsheltered veterans in our community. Thanks for this wonderful relationship despite 50 years age differential. It's been the biggest gift of my time at CFH to be your friend and fellow advocate. I'm forever indebted to you. I wish we could have one more lunch together so I can say thank you for everything! My deepest condolences to your amazing family. With love, Steve Camilleri

I will greatly miss my dear friend, Judge Miller! It's not possible to find a better partner to collaborate with on ways to end homelessness for veterans. His tenacity and never quit attitude made him a force to be reckoned with, and that's just what this fight needed. Thanks to him, we basically have functionally zero unsheltered veterans in SB for the past four years. Thanks, Judge. You did all this with a sparkle in your eye and your keen sense of humor. I loved our lunches at the Morris CC, and wish we could have one more. Thanks for introducing me to the green smoothies, too :) I'll never forget you, and I'll always be grateful for such a special relationship despite the 50 years in between us :) Love you buddy! Steve

In the late 1950's I was Robert's seceretary at Diamond & Miller and at the time I was Nancy Seider Lane.... I would catch the 5:00 bus in front of Robertson's Department Store to return home each night....Bob became the President of one of his many clubs, making him extremely busy with his already full schedule.....making him dictate letters after 5:00 meaning I would have to type, mimeograph, print copies and have him sign....I would miss the 5:30 and wait till 6:00. On one such occasion the copies went out far and wide... A few days later he came in chuckling
.... Remember the letter we sent last week...well neither of us caught our huge mistake....We had Farternally Yours, rather than Fraternally Yours and I am happy to say the response to my upcoming meeting seems like attendance will be 100% ...... In later years as Nancy Mann, I would see Robert with his family at MPCC.....and he never ever failed to mention Our M!istake....
