SOUTH BEND - Beloved mother, Rosie L. Hudson, 68, passed away February 11, 2017, in South Bend. She was born April 23, 1948, in Memphis, TN, to the late Luther and Louise (White) Palmer.
Rosie worked as a Registered Nurse for most of her life. A number of years ago, she moved from Chicago to South Bend, where she was the head R.N. at Portage Manor. She was a well-loved and devoted mother, who accepted the Lord at an early age. Her son, John Hudson, and daughter-in-law, Fallon Baker, were amazing caretakers for Rosie, providing care for many years.
Rosie is survived by five sons, Gilbert Jones, of Chicago, IL; Shawn Jones of San Bernardino, CA; Elijah Hudson, John (Fallon Baker) Hudson, and Ricardo Hudson, all of South Bend; her beloved 21 grandchildren; lovely five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Annette Malone. Rosie loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in a special way. We all learned many valuable lessons about life from her. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
Funeral services for Rosie will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February18, 2017, at Palmer Funeral Homes—West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628. Rev. Lonell Hudson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday, February 18, at the funeral home.
