GRANGER - Stefania H. Wetzel passed away April 25, 2017, at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross.

Stefania was born January 30, 1925, to Adam and Rose Krawiec.

She lived in Elkhart, Mishawaka, Granger, and Union, Michigan.

Most recently she lived in her daughter Nancy's home in Mishawaka.

On January 22, 1955, at St. Vincent Catholic Church, she married Richard Wetzel.

Richard preceded her in death on July 23, 2003.

Stefania's siblings, Frank Krawiec, Dolores McKim, Victoria Marks, and Michael Krawiec, also preceded her.

Stefania was employed at CTS in Elkhart prior to raising her family.

She was a homemaker, cook, collector, Christmas tree farmer, and a great card player.

Stefania loved time at the lake, caring for the farm, family gatherings, gardening, and good conversation.

She was a parishioner of St. Monica's Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Society.

Left to cherish years of memories are her children, Gary (Lisa), Nancy Rensberger (Jeff), and Rich (Sherry), six granddaughters, Katie Maddox (Dan), Kelsey Went (Matt), Morgan Lamson (Derrick), Rachel, Samantha, and Brooklyn Wetzel; one grandson, Matthew Wetzel; three great-granddaughers, Caleigh, Caydence, Harper June, numerous nieces, nephews, and many caring friends.

The family will gather for visitation on Friday, April 28, at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, from 4 to 7 pm. A funeral will take place at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 222 West Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, on Saturday, April 29, at 11 o'clock. Family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at church.
