SOUTH BEND - Steven L. McCreery, 69, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at 10:24 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. As a welder, he previously worked for Fabricated Steel, South Bend and retired from Pirod in Plymouth. Steve was born on May 4, 1947 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Daniel and Frances (Soto) McCreery. On September 17, 1966 in Niles, MI Steven was united in marriage to Charlene Russell McCreey.
Along with his loving wife, Charlene McCreery, Steven is also survived by three sons, Steve (Lynn) McCreery, Tim (Jamie) McCreery and Andrew McCreery all of South Bend; twelve grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Kyle, Jack, Eric, Kaylie, Andrew, Shayna, Brianna, Savanna, Joy, Malakai; twelve great grandchildren; sisters and brother, Donna, Denise and John “Buster” (Vickie) McCreery all of Iowa. One grandson, Daniel, preceded in death.
Steven was an avid hunter; loved to camp and fish. He enjoyed talking on his Hamm and CB Radios with a handle of “Coal Roll”.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, April 3, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am on Monday until time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Funeral Home to defray costs. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.

We all miss you alot and ik you can't see this but we had so much fun with you I remember when you use to take care of me and savanna when we were little and I'm so happy you did take us in for a little bc if I could go back in time just to see you I would you made me laugh you so funny and the best grandpa ever
