SOUTH BEND - Susan Ann Marek, 62, passed away at 3:46 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2010, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Susan was born on October 1, 1948, in South Bend, to Edward J. and Anna (Nowik) Marek. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward. She is survived by her mother, Anna Marek of South Bend, and by several aunts, uncles and many cousins. Susan was a telecommunication manager for the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of Crumstown Conservation Club and Reins for Life. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, in Holy Family Catholic Church, where friends and family may gather from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Reins of Life Therapeutic Horseback Riding, 55200 Quince Road, South Bend, IN 46619; or to the donor's choice. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.

Sue was a classmate of ours and a good friend. We shared alot of good times together in high school.
