Thomas Michael Reim
Thomas Michael "Tom" Reim, 66, passed away June 8, 2021 at his residence in South Bend, IN. He was born on March 28, 1955 in Goshen, Indiana, to the late Ralph Raymond "Ray" Reim and Eloise Reim.
Tom graduated from Penn High School in 1973 in Mishawaka, IN. He received a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University and went on to receive his Master of Science at Purdue University. He started his career at BFGoodrich in Fort Wayne, IN. He continued to have a successful career in Human Resources at multiple companies. He moved to Moorpark, CA in 1989 where he ended his career at Sysco Foods until his retirement in 2015. While living in California he enjoyed walking along the beach, camping, and attending festivals and art fairs. For retirement he moved to South Bend, IN and lived there until his passing. During his retirement he enjoyed boating, attending Notre Dame sporting events, and volunteering at his church's food pantry. Tom was a member the United Methodist Church.
Tom is survived by his two daughters Kristin Reim, of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Erin Reim, of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia (John) Copeland, of Bellaire, MI, and brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Reim, of St. Augustine, FL; niece Karyn Reim, nephew Kevin Reim; and grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Raymond "Ray" Reim and Eloise Reim, and beloved dog, Shelby.
He was a loving father, brother, and friend. He had a witty spirit and giving personality. Tom had a positive outlook and lived life to the fullest. He never complained about anything that affected him adversely.
Tom will be laid to rest in Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen, IN. His service will be held with Rev. Matthew Landry at First United Methodist Church in South Bend, IN on Thursday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 333 N.
