SOUTH BEND - Tyler Alan Hurtle, 20, of South Bend, IN passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Tyler was born on June 28, 1996 to Mark A. Hurtle and Sara A. Zolman, both of South Bend.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Sara (Terry Litka) Zolman and father, Mark Hurtle; his grandparents, Jean Zolman and Lois Hurtle; brothers, Justin Hurtle and Colton Litka; stepsisters, Hannah and Peyton Litka as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Walter H. Zolman and Mike E. Hurtle.
Tyler was a tow truck driver and a mechanic at Tony's Mobile, where he was loved dearly and treated like family. He enjoyed being with the people he loved. He loved working on cars and shredding on his bike at the Kitchen BMX Skate park where he spent many hours. Tyler was always moving and lived every single day to the fullest.
Tyler was known for his kind heart, helping others, and his mischievous smile. You knew he was coming before you saw him because he was always either singing or whistling.
He will be missed by many.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

To Tyler's family. I got the opportunity to know Tyler through my daughter. Me loved her so much and in her own way she did him as well. I really liked talking to him when he would come over. He was such a good kid. He had a big heart. I pray that comfort fills your heart in this time. He will be missed dearly by all those lives he entered even if briefly. Know that Tyler was the type a parent should be proud of. His kindness was felt and seen by all those around him. I will always remember him and keep him in my heart.

I met Tyler when my car was broken down and he came from Tony's mobile service to tow my car. Although we only spoke briefly Tyler made a big impression on me. He seemed caring considerate and friendly. He seemed to have a good work ethic while at the same time seeming like someone who would enjoy his time off work also. I imagined a bright future ahead of him and somebody who was really going to have a big impact on the world around him. He seems like he loved life and people. He said he wanted to travel and I guess now he is seeing so much of that which we can only dream. I'm very sorry for his loss in the lives of his family and friends and obviously all who his life touched. May God bless you and give you peace and comfort and strength for each day.
