Steve Barber Obituary

Steve C. Barber
Steve Carlos Barber, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland, following a lengthy illness and battle with cancer.
A wake in Celebration of his life will be held on April 2nd from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA.
He was born on August 28, 1958 in Caracas, Venezuela to James Warren and Margaret Stillinger Barber. Steve graduated from high school in Boise, Idaho and graduated with a bachelor degree in communications from the University of Idaho. He moved to Pennsylvania to work for the Fox television network. After several years in Pennsylvania, he struck out on his own and opened his own business as a personal computer consultant. He and Vicki met on a blind date in 1990 and were married in 1992. Their son, Stephen, was born in 1994.
Steve had a very close relationship with his son. They enjoyed scouting, Tae Kwon Do and video games together. Steve thoroughly enjoyed traveling and always had the next trip in the planning stages.
Steve is survived by his wife, Vicki, son, Stephen and brother, Jerry of Renton, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 (www.cancer.org) or the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110 (www.diabetes.org).
