Phillip Toppins
HARTS, W.Va. — Phillip Daniel Toppins, 40, of Harts, departed this life Wed., July 9, 2014, at Harts.
Born April 3, 1974, in Logan, he was a son of Joan Tomblin of Harts and the late Claude Toppins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Corrine Tomblin and Carl and Margie Toppins, and one sister, Carolyn Toppins.
Phillip was a graduate of Chapmanville High School class of 1993.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Phillip "PD" Toppins-Browning; three sisters, Misty (Greg) Browning, Becky Adkins and Stacy Wiley; one brother, Carl Toppins; grandmother, Lettie Tomblin; one niece, Baylee Browning; step-dad, Greg Butcher, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Mon., July 14, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Gary "Sarge" Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow at Dalton Browning Memory Gardens at Harts.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Greg Toppins, Michael Baisden, Andy Dingess, Shawn Mullins, Zeke Meadows, Brian Tomblin, Gary Tomblin, Randall Tomblin, Darrell Tomblin II, and Danny Tomblin II.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Adams, Randy Tomblin, Neil Tomblin, Danny Tomblin, Darrell Tomblin, and Jeff "Buck" Toppins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to Freeman Funeral Home or Misty Browning, 519 McClellan Highway, Harts, WV 25524.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.

My heart will be forever filled with wonderful memories and will never fade. He will always be with me. Phillip was the perfect fit to make me whole. He was closer than a brother to me. He will be forever missed and always loved not only by me, but by many. We had so many joyful times together. I always told him he was my Jack of all trades and master of none, and that was just making him perfect. :) My best-est friend he was, and that you could ever have. Grief can be so hard and it is over you Phil, but with all the loving memories that I have is what is helping me cope. I love and miss you Phil may you RIP. Prayers needed please for God to comfort myself and others that loved him also. Especially his Mother Joan. I love you too Momma Joan. <3
