Alan Arruda Obituary

Alan Arruda, 84, formerly of East Bridgewater and West Barnstable, husband of Corinne Arruda and beloved father of five, died in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 21, after a lengthy illness. Born in East Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Manuel and Marguerite (Guimaraes) Arruda. He attended East Bridgewater schools, and went into the Air Force in the early 1950s. He was employed by the Campanelli Construction Company and was the Executive Vice President of the Perini Corporation of Florida. Alan was also a lover and successful breeder of Morgan horses under the prefix Quail Run Morgans. He is survived by his wife, Corinne; three daughters, Alana Arruda of Florida, Faith Johnston of Eastham, Leslie Kelley of Sutton; and two sons, Charles and William, both of Florida; a brother, Albert Arruda of North Easton; and a sister, Marianne Cookson of East Sandwich; also five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Arruda, Richard Arruda, Manuel Arruda Jr., and his sister, Marguerite (Nina) Hebenton.
