I had the pleasure of working with Chris - Yes, the reality is that you worked with him and not for him - for over 6 years. As a person, businessman, Orthodox Christian who thought out of the box, then invented the box as far as the restaurant business is concerned.
He has inspired me in business as well as life.
When I was 25, my wife just had a baby, he hired me, I told him I needed Health insurance as quickly as possible. He put me on his medical plan from the very first week. I did not have to pay a penny for it!!!!!!!!!!!
I will pray that his Memory Be Eternal. Non Evlogimeno.

My husband and I spent most of our date nights at Christo's when it first opened We have been living in Fl. For 40 yrs.and and still talk of Christo's. I frequently visit my sister up in E. Bridgewater and always have to go to Christo's, first thing. One time, shortly after the Gold Room was added, I came there from my Fl. Visit to see the Gold Room, which was closed off that day, until the other part of the restaurant was full, and Christo opened it just for me when he learned I came all the way from Fl. Just to sit in the Gold Room. He was always at the door to meet and greet his customers. Will always be in our fondest memories. We always compare his Greek salad to everyone's and have NEVER found any better. He will surely be missed. His family should be so proud that he touched so many lives in Brockton and many, many, small surrounding towns. Think about those lucky people in heaven who will share in spending forever with such an Icon. He will always be a part of OUR fondest memories of days gone by. Sincere condolences, Roy and Judy Anderson(Polk City, Fl.)

Many years ago when I was working at Liberty Mutual in Brockton, my fellow employees and I would go to Peter's Lunch every chance we got. The food was always delicious and my particular favorite was their apricot pie. Chris would always bring it hot, right from the oven and serve it to us as we sat at the counter. He was a wonderful man and we all enjoyed listening to his sweet accent. Later, of course, I became a fan of "Christos" and enjoyed many wondrful meals and times there w/ family and friends.
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Father. May all your memories sustain you in the days to come.

My grandparents had their first date at Christos. That night Mr. Tsaganis kissed my grandmother on her cheek, and she was delighted. For every anniversary that followed, they dined at Christos and each time, he would kiss my grandmother on her cheek. On the first anniversary after my grandfather's passing, I took my grandmother to Christos at her request, and when Mr. Tsaganis saw her without my grandfather, he just knew. He took both of her hands and kissed her on the cheek for the last time. It was one of the most heartfelt things I've ever seen. I'd like to think that my grandparents were there to greet him, and maybe a kiss on the cheek.

Dear Gigi, Maria & Family: We are very sad to hear about your Dad's passing. Chris was a true friend to our community and just a great man. He loved his patrons and was there for each and every one over the years. We've attended countless birthday parties, reunions, special occasions and Friday nights at Christo's. I was in the first Wedding when Christo's II opened in 1978. I worked at Christo's II with Betsy, met my husband David at Christo's and had lots of fun times with Mom, Charlene, Aunt Lill, MaryAnn & Norma many nights after bowling. We had the Best Birthday Bash for my Mother with an Elvis Impersonator at Christo's. It's always been our neighborhood "Cheers" - where everyone really does know your name. God Bless You Christos and your Family. You made our lives better and a lot more fun! I know you will find the Party in the Gold Room up there! Rest In Peace my friend. Darlene & David Zarella

To Maria and Gigi,
I first met your Mom and Dad in 1979 when I went to them to have a banquet in honor of my Mom, Phyllis, who was State President of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. I remember your Mom knowing how nervous I was and wanting everything to be perfect put me at ease. And as time drew nearer your Dad assuring me " Don't Worry Everything Will Be Wonderful! " And you know it was, everyone had a great time, the meal was beyond great, the waiters and waitresses could not have done a more surperb job. Now, you Mom and Dad are together again, it will be hard without them, and not having your dad there with you, but remember he is never away from you, he lives in your hearts and mind. God Bless you Family, you all will be in my prayers.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. As a little girl growing up in Randolph, Christo's was in our Sunday plans for sure. Going through childhood to adulthood, so many of the generations got to enjoy Christo's. From my parents, siblings, nieces/nephew and then on with my husband. We always had a great meal - especially knowing what days you'd serve Chicken Lemon Soup. :) From soup to salad to meals it was an institution. Here's hoping the family continues their parents wonderful legacy!

Maria & Gigi,My 13 years as Christos first pizza cook is full of many memories of your dad & your mom. We used to have many disagrements, your dad & I but they were always forgotten the next day. He was always a very fair & caring man. I remember you ladies when you both were mere tots. So pretty & inteligent. I thought for sure that someday I would be working for you, however I had to retire.. I will always remember your dad. He was a very hard man to work for but he was always fair. He used to enjoy seeing me on my many trips back home. We would always chat about "back in the day". So sorry for your loss.

Gigi & Maria---There are a lot of words used to discribe your father. As we all know there comes a day when we will die.The things that we leave behind will say a lot about the person. How sad ( one of the words that has been used ) it would have been, if these people who have wrote about this man, had never known Christos George Tsaganis.

I went to school with Maria, and your generous mom and dad always delivered food to our late evening drama club rehearsals. In the 20 years before I moved back to Massachusetts, I would always order 1/2 cooked Christo's pizza to bring back to wherever I was living...truly a taste of home! Christo's was introduced to NJ, and every time I came back home, another couple of pizzas were added to my carry home order! Like his kindness and generosity, his pizzas found their way around the country!

Very sorry about the passing of one of Brockton's most generous individuals. Christo was one who could be counted on to donate to any cause and would always provide a gift certificate for fundraising whenever asked to do so, without question. For many years my father, Nicholas Galateros, would meet at the restaurant with Christo and some other men, all old friends. They'd share opinions, ask questions, etc. When my father was at the Braemoor Nursing, Christo would come and sit with him and hold his hand and encourage him. If we hadn't loved Christo for any other reason (and there were many other reasons)we would have loved him for that. A very special man.
