Jack Hoyt Jr.

NORTON Jack Randy Hoyt Jr., of Norton, died at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, while surrounded by his family. Randy grew up in West Bridgewater and was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School, Class of 1977, and he also attended Berkley School of Music. Randy loved playing the trumpet and enjoyed being outdoors, skiing, fishing, boating or sea shell collecting on Cape Cod. He also loved taking road trips. Randy worked for many years as a floor installer before starting his own company, Down-Rite Flooring Co. of Norton. Randy was a loving son of E. June Hoyt of Bridgewater and the late Jack R. Hoyt Sr.; loving sweetheart of Jeanne B. Wax of Norton; father of Colin J. and Derek R. Hoyt of Norton; former husband of Debra (Hibbard) Hoyt of Norton; brother of Kathleen E. Charlesbois of West Bridgewater, Christopher E. Hoyt of East Bridgewater and Jonathan B. Hoyt of Bridgewater. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 24, at 3 p.m., at the Union Congregational Church of East Bridgewater, 105 Pleasant St. Visiting hours Saturday, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.
